Father's Day at the Park

The husband decided on a nice stroll through the Washington Park Arboretum.

It was an absolutely gorgeous day, sunny and just warm enough with a nice breeze.

Spring wildlife was out in force, as were people enjoying the day.

I spent an awful lot of time today taking pictures of crows in flight:

This poor doggie wanted to be off chasing ducks:

The ducks weren't safe, however. There was a family out playing with their new radio-controlled speed boat:

Afterwards, we drove through the arboretum and ended up in the Madison Park neighborhood of Seattle. We had a late afternoon nosh at Bing's. Tasty burgers for the win! I also indulged in a mai tai, since they were out of cider.

It had the wonderful tartness that only drinks made with fresh juice have. YUM!

We let the munchkin play in the park across the street for a bit, and are now home collapsed on the sofa feeding each other strawberries.

Husband rates it a good Father's Day. I am happy.

Spring cleaning

Organizing the corner in which I keep all my jewelry making supplies yesterday led, of course, to making jewelry! I had experimented with some double-drilled beads some time ago and wanted to revisit this style. It's always fascinating to me how you can come up with completely different pieces using the same basic materials.

Here's the first piece I created in this style:

Howlite and Dyed Red Corral

And here are two more in the same style that I created yesterday:

Geometric Black Onyx and Glass Necklace

Yin Yang Necklace
