You know when the hero or heroine sees some huge disaster looming, and the movie moves into extreme slow motion, and they get this look of horrible realization on their face, and they give the screen a tragic drawn out "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Well, that's me right now. My trusty Nikon 990, that I've had for about 8 years now, that has given me so many wonderful images, just died. Blank screen, won't turn on, nothing. My other camera is a Canon PowerShot A550, and although it has twice the megapixels, it doesn't have the extreme macro power, the fantastic spot focus that lets you see each individual wrap of wire in a bracelet.
Going to go drown my sorrows in something now.
