A Year in the Making, Day 107

Today, a new pair of earrings. I recently acquired a lot of estate jewelry, and among all the things were this pair of carved jade whales. They were attached to some mangled pieces of wire that may have at one time been earwires. I restrung them with some freshwater pearls and sterling earwires tonight:



And I have a new toy, to help with identifying some of my vintage pieces, since my jewelers' loupe hasn't been quite sufficient in some cases:
