As promised, an "on the road" blog post! I'm currently in Lake Chelan, Washington, for a work conference. Checked into the hotel yesterday afternoon, and was immediately struck by the view from my deck. The room is nifty too, with this incredible lounge chair made out of driftwood.
Not usually a modern decor fan, but the room charmed me:

I forgot and didn't close the drapes all the way, so I got woken up extra early this morning. So, I made these in the comfy chair looking out over the beautiful lake, Russian opals with Czech glass:
